Must have missed the memo because I was underdressed for the occasion. 😁 Still over the moon because I am a huge fan of this cat icon.
Hello Kitty Run Manila 2017 |
Truth be told, my least favorite activity is running but for the love of this ultra kawaii character, I gave in. There are no strict rules during the run as long as you finish the race within two hours. We can casually walk, make chika, and stop for selfies along the process. Chill lang.

But hey, it is not always RBUs. A week before the run, some experienced setbacks (e.g. delayed delivery of kits). On the day itself, we arrived at exactly 5:45 A.M. to join our designated wave only to find they already started; we did not have a choice but to wait for the next batch. This should not have happened if the organizers were systematic.
Wave Three's turn! |
Another letdown was the loot bag which was supposed to be filled with free stuff! Most of us were expecting to receive Hello Kitty-themed freebies or something that will console my disappointed self. You see, we paid during the early bird period and it still did not come cheap! A photo op with Hello Kitty would have been a fair conciliatory gesture to make up for the amount we shelled out.
So close yet so far. Bummer. |
We did not stick around during the after party because our tummies are begging for noms and I can hear mine grumbling! Instead of queuing up for free samples, we headed back to the hotel room to freshen up before grabbing our lunch.
I want to steal this balloon. |
Guess it was a 50-50 experience for me. Good thing I got myself a finisher's medal and my sister had a blast!
